Number 41

Before the Pub...
I lived at number 41...
I loved this house...
It had a front verandah and a back pergola...
and best of all it had a darkroom...
Yes I do miss that more than anything...
But now in the age of digital I wonder if I would still get the use out of it...
maybe not...
As I went through lots and lots of old photo's today I thought
I should at least scan some of my favorites so they are not
lost forever in my clutter...
and contemplate whether I should invest in a up market digital...
My last camera (about 7 years ago)
was a most impressive SLR...which is now every outdated...
and needs a bit of fixing...(the rewind is cactus)
and the thought of scanning images and not knowing how they will
look like is just not in me to do anymore...

I only ever use my cheap and fast point and shot Kodak...
Which while bearable isn't what
you would call professional...
Once upon a time I did many weddings and outdoor portraits
for people
Now I think I have lost the mojo...
Really
So here I am wondering if I did "upgrade" will I get it back
Truly

Hmmmmm!!!
Has anyone out there just bought a new camera...
did it bring the mojo back?
Did your quality of pics improve?
Has it changed the way you now take photo's?
Or do you find that most of the time you can drag your pics into a programme
and make them look just as good with any camera?
Love to hear your comments...

If your budget allows, buy your dream camera. A point and shoot is great to just have around and to carry in your bag for spontaneous photos, but there is such a difference with photos taken on an SLR. I am sure your mojo will come back.

I think a dream camera does work a bit of magic because you know you can get more out of it in picture quality... but you're doing pretty well now, you know :) K

Firstly I alway enjoy your photo's, you have a great eye! Secondly I am in love with my camera which is not new but newish. I borrowed Kate's research and bought the same camera as she did. It has been life changing. It simply takes the best photo's ever. And I don't tweak them at all. (It is a Panasonic Lumix.) A bit heavy but totally amazing xo
