Fleecing the Street

time flys...when your crafting...

This year I was thrilled when I was asked to run a series of workshops and facilitate a large project in a wonderful country town not far from my own.

Merriwa is a bustling hub, for a small town,

but with a population of close to 2,000 it is twice the size of my own town.

This year they will be celebrating their 25th year of the

"Festival of the Fleeces"...

Part of the event will be a display of Yarn-bombing that hasn't been seen before in our parts.

was instrumental in getting this grant and the community has really gotten behind it.

The wool that is used in all of the items is from Nundle Wool Mill

who were excited to be part of a project that supports Australian wool, and extremely helpful.

The display will be erected on the 4th of June for the June long weekend festival.

If you are around, do take a look and snap a 'selfie' #fleecingthestreet for Instagram users.

I will keep an eye out for your images.

Until then, keep crafting my friends, and wrap a tree or two.
