While cold, wet and down right freezing
here at River Cottage...
I tried really hard to not let it get me down...
Keeping myself busier than ever...
Making some very lovable
Grandma Rosie Rings...
Of course stopping at one was not an option...
and with the help of "my shadow" as a hand model (don't tell his mates)...
More where whipped up...
packaged sweetly...
and ready to be placed in the little shop...
This is the first time I have used a "hot glue gun"
and found it fairly easy...
Does anyone find that they have any problems with your "item" staying on?
I haven't seen any movement yet...
But I was wondering...
as I wouldn't like to sell a item that in the near future...
"fell off " as that would be just dodgy......
and we can't have dodgy items
that wouldn't be "Granny Good" at all...
I hope you week is a bit warmer and brighter...and not a bit dodgy at all...

Oh Michelle, I LOVE them!!
Just beautiful.
When the fake flower hair clip trend was in full swing, I had a job making them at home for a while for a chain store. We pulled them apart and then stuck them back together with a hot glue gun. We never had any complaints, so I'm assuming they stayed on.
Love the rings , they are sooo gorgeous. Have used a hot glue gun a lot & i find them brill, just let the glue get really hot & you should be singing :)
Have a sweet day
Karen
They're lovely Michelle!
I've never used hot glue for my brooches - I use a tacky fabric glue.
Wow! Such a sweetie! I love them so, they're gorgeous!!!
Hope your warm and sunny day comes soon!
Stay safe and keep warm,
Lovestitch, xo
These are so cute!! I'm loving all your ideas! Things attached with hot glue gun do fall off but only after a few years and you have to re-attach them but by then the trend would have moved on ;p Could we switch countries please 'cos it's really HOT over here!
Gorgeous, gorgeous rings. I hope the sun shines and you can warm up a little.

Really nice! How do you do that? Is there any tutorial?
Hah! At first I thought you had very "youthful" hands Michelle.
I'm not a fan of the hot glue gun, but to test the adhesiveness, wear one ring around all day and give it a good workout! They are very cute by the way.

These rings are fantastic and they will sell like wild fire. Great job Michelle.

Hi! These are really sweet! Can you get E6000? I use it now for most of my glueing. It has to really set up overnight, but then it's fairly permanent.
Michelle, your rings are lovely. If you're worried about hot glue not standing up to use, I've seen ring bases that have holes on the top for stitching things on...like these I
found on etsy:

There are lots of others to choose from.
Oh, heavens, these are so, so cute! "Grandma Rosie Rings" ~ adorable!
ļoti skaistas rozītes. es arī tamborēju gredzentiņus, tik savādākus ziediņus. bet šīs rozītes ir ļoti skaistas :)

If you can get E6000, I agree that would probably hold better than hot glue. Love the rings...would love for you to share how you tweeked the pattern to make ring. Thanks for all your inspiration...I am crocheting rose now!
I simply love your grandma Rosie projects, so sweet..... And thank you so much for the Nana square tutorial, now all I need is a little time.... Enjoy your day, hope you get some lovely crochet time in front of the fire....here the heat comes from the sun, just overnight 2 days ago summer finally arrived here and I have to watch over my yarn not to fade in the bright light!
