Today would have been my Grandma's Birthday...
I don't need to say much on how
I am feeling...
(If you read my blog you will know how much she meant to me...)
But...if you want to read more...
my sweet little sister has sumed it up
on her blog post
HERE...
Thanks Sis...
You have me blushing too...
My Grandma and my Grandfather...
when they were young...

I never knew my grandfather. He died tragically before I was born. But I have always known the joy he gave my mother and my grandmother and forty five years later, there are still tears that glisten in their eyes when they remember my grandfather on his birthday. That's because, even after all this time, he still shines bright in both their hearts.
What a very special person your Grandma surely was. Your sister's blog post is just beautiful. You can tell how close you two are. I think this year in August and September I will do the same things as your sister and do, make or cook something in honor of both my Grandmothers that have passed away this year. I love the photo of your Grandparents! I will be keeping you both in my thoughts and prayers.
Michelle, I loved my grandmother and she was a force to be reckoned with. She taught me to crochet even though I didn't appreciate it at the time. She made rasincakes with melted butter and honey for breakfast.....yum.
Have a wonderful day,
Meredith
What a lovely post your sister has written about you and about your grandma. I was devoted to my grandma, too, she was one of my best friends, and I still miss her very much although she died five years ago. Almost everything I do, I do with her in mind.

Beautiful posts!
Your sister's post was an honor to your grandma and a sweet tribute to you. It brought back memories of my Mammaw who has been gone since 1988 and the divinity candy she used to make. Haven't had any since. I wonder if anyone even makes divinity anymore? Hope you are having a wonderful day. Tammy
Aww... I loved this one and your sisters post too. Sounds like your grandmother was an amazing woman. Lucky you! :)
Tania is right some people will always shine bright in our hearts. My grandma was like that for me too and I still feel that she is with me every step of the way. Embrace your grandmothers birthday. Hugs Jen
Love that photo....they just look so right being on that bike, just as they should be. Ness xx
I love the photo of your grandparents, they look so sweet together! Also checked your sister's blog and it's such a lovely post! I didn't have chance to see my grandma since I was born, anything I know about my Grandma is just from my mother. But I love her anyway.
Hope you have a great day!
Lovestitch, xo
