It Must Be Spring

It must be spring
because
I am attempting to grow things...
I love beautiful gardens...
Large vegie patches...
and rows of pretty flowers...
But alas when it comes to growing these things...
I nearly always manage to
kill them...
But every spring I can't help myself...
I race off to the nursery
and buy bags of potting mix
and try again...
I thought I would try to keep it small
this time...
Less to kill I'm thinking...And if I am lucky this year
and in a month or so they are all still healthy
I will transplant them out...
as I am sure
that they will not have enough room to grow...properly...

So here is my mixed bunch
Basil
Strawberries
Coriander
Sage
Lemon Thyme
English Chamomile
Capsicum( I know this last one is a bit odd)
But I think capsicums are hardy...

Will let you know how they go...Or not!!!

I got outside today and dug up the vegy patch, ready for some planting this week...hopefully.
I reckon carrots are the easiest things to grow. The heat and snails can't worry them as they are cosy under the soil. And my kids love them.

I'm glad you still keep planting..and this year I bet you will have a bumper crop! there is nothing better than home grown vegies & fruit xo

It looks great and I wish you the very best for this season. I don't think I'm going to give it a go this year...I have trouble with getting things to grow.

We've got strawberries galore. Good luck with the gardening. Gosh I love your grandma bunting -it's divine.

Funny ... this could be a post about my own garden. I have the same great flurry at the start of spring and lots of crispy brown plants by the end of the year.

I also planted out a capsicum - it is the only thing that has died already. Apparently slugs can come and take out a whole plant overnight!
