The Sisterhood of Seasons...Winter...

Introducing
my new doll

Wilhelmina...
The Sisterhood of Seasons...Winter...

Wilhelmina...Winter...

She is quite the cozy little thing...

Wilhelmina...Winter...The Sisterhood of Seasons...

Not only a lovely fringed hoodie
but an added fringe
on her outfit...

I have added a braid
around the bottom part of the hair...
which makes her look ever so
pretty...

I am not really sure if I will get around to writing the pattern out
soon...
as I did use an unusual "loop" stitch for the fringe
and then cut through them ...
It isn't very easy to explain...without a diagram...
So that will take a while to work out...

But you could just add a simple "hook" blanket loop
and it would look just as nice...

I have been getting into the 1940's swing of late
and I came across a lovely blog called

"Bright Young Twins"

They are well worth a look as
they have very lovely outfits
and lots of vintage finds...

It inspired me this week to make some simple felt flowers...
and adding some victory rolls
my hair and I were
transformed
into the 1940's...

I do hope you all have a lovely
start to your weekend...

whatever season you are in...

You are as beautiful as ever! I love that we are in opposite seasons. When I'm suffering from the heat here, I will enjoy hearing of wintery things. Your new doll is precious......a little gem.

She's a cute little doll too. That braid was a really nice touch. Love her frilly hoodie!

Willi is beautiful, she would look just as wonderful on the ski slopes at Whistler, BC (Canada)! Those braids would help keep the wind off the back of her neck...

I am not partial to the 40's, a much too scary time for me -- I like the 50's when it was safe to be fashionable and you didn't have to worry if you man may never come home...

She is qite lovely and may have to join the bunny which is very well loved here by my youngest. I am about to embark on a difficult journey where I will probably lose my hair. Do you have some nice beanie type head wear patterns with your usual flare for the interesting. I need to start fairly soon. How are your archives! Thanks x
