Project One...
I love it!!!
But I ran out of cotton for half of the back...
I ordered more...
It arrived....and it's the wrong dye lot...and it's noticeable...
Bendigo Wool Mills-cotton...
I haven't kept the label from the first lot...
I really don't know what to do with it now...
But it would be tragic to just leave it in a UFO pile...
Project Two...
Love the colour...
Much larger than I wanted it to be...It always happens when I follow other patterns...
This one I might have to pop onto the shop when I am finished...
90 % finished...Ran out of cotton...
Will have to order some more...Bendigo Wool Mills-cotton...
and will be making sure I keep the dye lot card...
Project Three..
Followed the pattern and it worked out a good size...
I would prefer it to be longer thou...
Yes again I ran out of cotton...
I need to do the picot edging around the top and only need one ball...
This cotton was from Spotlight...
But it's a long drive and day out to get it...
When I do get there (if they haven't ran out) I will buy two balls instead of one...
and do the edging and make it a tad longer...
As you can see
I am so over running out of yarn...
It's driving me crazy...
I am thinking there was a reason I stuck to small projects...
EDIT:
I have just rang the Bendigo Wool Mill and unfortunately the colour I need for
Project One
is unavailable in the previous dye lot...
The yarn is...
100% pure cotton 8 ply...
There brand...
in Parchment colour 816
The dye lot I just received is 139
But it is too white
if anyone, anywhere has a dye lot in this brand-colour etc that isn't the 139
could you please, please e-mail me...
I really would love to finish it...
Thanks...
EDIT..EDIT...
Found out the dye lot is 135...
Hope this helps...
EDIT...EDIT...EDIT...
this is getting confusing isn't it...
I rang Bendigo Wool Mill and they searched and searched and found one...
They are so sweet...
I ordered it right away...
I am so, so happy...
Can't you tell!!!

They are all beautiful and worthwhile beauties worth pursuing ... hope you can locate more yarn! xox
Love each and every one of them. But HOW FRUSTRATING to have to think of not finishing the first...it's so perfectly crafted, so delicate and just beautiful! I always fret about not having enough and end up over purchasing. Is there a perfect answer? Either one has too much or not enough...Goldilocks, what should we do? We want it all to be "just right". Tee hee (small bit of humor, forgive me). Seriously though...you just HAVE to finish that first one! Annette
Great job !...love them.
They're so cute.
I have a full ball of parchment, if you'd like it. It's from dye lot 134. I can't tell from the pics if it will be a match, but you're most welcome to try it.
Have a great week.

Could you be a real nuisance and send asample to Bendigo Mills for a closer match. Perhaps you could make the backout of a complementary or matching fabric. Cherrie
On project one, what if you frogged the back half that's done so far and do the back in a totally different color?
So glad you were able to locate the right dye lot to finish your top. All three look lovely.
These pieces are great! :)

Crochet...Gotta Love It!
Shame about the first one! What colour is it? Latte? I have some extra which I can send you to see if it might match!
Oh so beautiful work,
hugs Crissi
Lovely tops. I was going to suggest completing the first project in the odd yarn and then dying it seeing as it is cotton? But I see you have now found athe one ball you need :)
Hope you get them all finished with no more trauma's.
xx
Running out of yarn is such a nuisance. I hate buying an extra ball in case its not enough but have resolved to do it because I can always find a little project to use odd balls so its never wasted.
I feel better: you are so good and special...and you finish the yarn too ;)
For the first project ...brainstorming..doing the back in another color? totally different;)
Ohh... Loving project three! The color, the shape, everything about it. :)
Those are all really beautiful. Hope you get yarn lucky. Liz :)
Michelle,
What a relief- so happy that you were able to find the correct dye lot to complete your beautiful top. It's really very nice, delicate and pretty! :)
