Not really the colours I would have chosen but I do believe that it is the thought that counts...

OH wow! I dream that one of my son's will do that with me oneday!!!
How wonderful! I can't wait to teach my girls, 4&6, to crochet. My six year old is already showing an interest in it. The four year old just likes to throw yarn balls all over the house. I hope the recipient enjoys!
That is incredible! My sons are 3 and 6 for now they just request things for me to make and they like to tell me which yarns are soft and the ones that are itchy...

That's lovely, spending time crocheting with your son! I've tried asking my eldest son(17) to learn how to crochet but still no sure answer from him :) I might try again!
That's wonderful! My son is only 4 but he can't wait to learn...we shall see when he's actually old enough if he still wants to. My daughter is 2 and she has already claimed 'her hook'. I give her a big plastic P hook and a little scrap yarn and she happily hooks along with mommy.
Nice one, my 13 year old just raises a teenaged eyebrow when I suggest but my 10 year old dabbles (still young enough not to worry) making 'snakes' and neck cosies for his toys!
I love men who are confident and secure about their manhood that they don't feel that things like crocheting make them less manly. Hurray for your son!

Absolutely fantastic! Lucky girl who is on the receiving end. Neither of my boys would get near a hook and yarn; although my 12 year old does ask for me to make blankets and pillows for their room. They both think blog land is lame. :/ Enjoy time with your son. Best wishes, Tammy

My son who is 10 has no desire to crochet but he does ask often if he can roll my yarn into balls. Maybe one of these days he'll ask if I will teach him how to crochet. I think I would enjoy that.
Any time you get to spend with your son is a gift. He must be an amazing young man to crochet a scarf for a friend. You have done a great job!

Such precious memories you'll have of times like this. I hope that some day my two boys- now age 1 and 4 (nearly 5) will crochet with me.
I would love to spend time crocheting with my family. My mom crochets, but we never seem to be together when we're crafting. I need to make time.

Aww... This is the sweetest thing. Love sharing a little hooky time with my 8 year old daughter. She has mastered the single crochet and is having so much fun creating. She had a bit of a pom pom obsession this past week. I began to wonder if I would have any yarn left in my stash when she got to the end of it. Well I think it passed. Oh this is heart melting gold. My eldest son is 5 and he keeps trying to learn to crochet and is very interested in it. The look of pride on his face when he makes a chain just melts my heart. I dream of having a moment just like this when he is older. Congratulations on raising a wonderful son. xx
How awesome is this! I have 5 sons, but none of them crochet or sew, but i love spending time with them any way I can.
