Granny Pictures...

Today I worked on some
"Granny Pictures"...

Granny Pictures...

Using small canvas frames and making some visual impact...
Above is the first test one...

Need to source some more wool yet again...
I think if you are going to go to the trouble of wall art
you need to make it 100% woolly good...

I might sit down tonight and sketch some designs thou before I tackle a large piece...

? Does anyone buy there yarn wholesale...
Do you have a online store only or small business from home...
and still mange to buy wholesale...
Love to chat to you about how you go about it...or even if it is possible...

Not sure what you do over there, but here in the uk, because so many small time original wool and yarn shops have closed, the best way is to buy on t'inter (on line) the disadvantaged of being able to actually handle the goods before buying outweighs the vast array and varieties available.

Lovely idea :-) Bendigo Woollen Mills sell beautiful wool online and if you like you can email them and ask for a sample card so you can see and touch all the yummy textures and colours of their wool. Postage is local too :-) They sell large balls but when you break it down to 50g balls the price is excellent.

Beautiful and so creative! I don't have a small business from home, so I usually buy yarn from the local Hobby Stores or online but now that we have have a LYS open, I hope to shop there more often - there really is something to be said for being able to touch the yarn before you actually buy it ... Good Luck!

Very intriguing! I wonder what the effect would be if you painted the canvas before covering it with the granny goodness?

I love this idea! My mom and I were just talking about redesigning my office space, and turning it into my craft haven, and I think this would be perfect for my wall!

Very pretty. I buy my yarn everywhere - on sale and not, on line and in local wool shops. The only thing I don't do is buy in bulk. My stash box is full of yarn just enough for one project
