back up my computer...
My "new-secondhand" laptop...3 months old...
Blew the hard drive...
as a result...
Lots of
"Oh dears..."
and other words I care not to repeat...
I of course didn't take the advise given to me
and "back up" my work...
So lots of photo's now lost...
setting that I now can not remember...
Thanks to Kate...I have pdf copies of my last 3 patterns...Whew...
and I have had a lovely day out at the "Little Shop" up the street...
With lots of
Granny Goodness all round...
Flowers everywhere...
Lots of bright colours...
Someone to keep me company... "Rin Tin Tin"
and making everything look picture perfect for the day...
and what a glorious day it was...
I think it made up for the stress of losing my computers
bits and bobs...
Thank you all for begin so patient with me...
At the moment I can only recieve e-mails and can not send on the laptop...
another setting I can't remember...
So it will take me a bit longer to work that out...
and maybe a few other things...
Like buying a "thingy me jig"
to save my files onto...

I'm taking this as a warning - this is the second thing I've read today reminding me to back up!!! Hope you are able to retrieve some of your lost bits a pieces.

This happened to me 18 months ago. It was awful. I ranted, I cried, I swore! I lost photos of my kids when they were little and patterns as well. I have since bought an external hard drive....but I have not yet used it. MUST do so. Thanks for the reminder!
A backup hard drive is good, but I discovered the hard way that they are pretty fragile, when it flew out of my hands onto the floor, and wham I had lost it all!

So sorry on the back up, everything is probably still there.. Just take it back to the computer store and ask them to retrieve what they can.

So sorry to hear about this, computers are great...but we depend so much on them nowadays..... I need to make a back up too, forget it all the time. Love your colourful post, I can imagine it took your mind of the computer problems. If you've lost your Grandma's Garden Cushion pdf pattern, I can send it to you. Meanwhile I'm working on a new colourcombination with that pattern, I still love it so much.
