This cushion is a order for a lady in town...
I really love these little squares...they make the colours the focus...
and in pure wool it is so soft...

It wasn't too difficult to do these squares...
Just a couple of rows of tr(dc)'s and a outer row of dc(sc)
and hand stitched them together
with a simple whip stitch...
I really shouldn't say this cushion is "little" thou...
It is about 45cm square...
Nice and Big...
I would look amazing on a plain couch
a real statement piece...
I have called this a Nana Square as I think it would be easily confused with
it's Granny Square counterpart...

Very Pretty, May I ask how you did the back? Always curious... :)
The perfect portable project! Lovely and colorful also Thank you for sharing. I do you keep all these project rolling in? Do you crochet really fast?
It looks very pretty! And I love the settings in that photo! I don't think I have the patience to make all those small squares, though!
Thank you Barbara for your question...
The back is made up of 9 larger squares.
5 rows in total with a border of dc(sc) around each...
and whip stitched together...
Really beautiful!

This cushion is fab!! And what a great way of using up yarn leftovers. I have just started to learn crochet and would love to get started on a project involving little squares. This could be perfect.
Lucky client - those colours sure are gorgeous together and perfect for snuggling in this cooler weather.
Oh, I think it's very pretty!
Fabulous Little Nana! I love the colors and the simple stitches you made! Wonderful work!

looks great!nice photos too :)
love it! Sometimes simple really is best :)
You're right about the square design providing an emphasis on the lovely colors - from a distance, this looks like it's a quilted pillow! In fact, the layout sort of reminds me of "Elmer the Patchwork Elephant."

Dear Voie de vie...
I did a very simple edge of dc(sc) and added a picot every 6 dc(sc) or so...
I hope this helps...
