My granny’s lost the plot
But she’s ever so nice,
We sit and play games
And take turns rolling dice.
Tic tac toe,
yahtzee and snap,
Games to make you think
so you don’t and take a nap.
She always seems to win
which is awfully strange,
For a granny so doddery
of a ripe old age.
At last I can show you my latest design...
As always I am still writing this pattern out...
I have had a few set backs with adapting to new programmes
and saving small file size pdf's.
Now at long last these "high tec" things are soughted
and I am back on track...
It will still be about a week before it is all looking lovely
and ready for my etsy shop...
The lovely Kate
is also helping me out with testing...
Which reminds me...
Sorry Kate for the long delay with getting it to you...
Very soon...Promise...
Now...back to the give-away...
Please leave a comment...
Tell me if you like it...or not...
If you liked playing Tic Tac Toe...?
Or much preferred to call it "Noughts and Crosses"...?
any comment at all will go into the draw...
And I will pick one winner for a free PDF...
And I will pick one winner for a free PDF...
That easy...
I will let everyone know how it is coming along by the end of the week...
And for anyone wondering about the little dolly in the picture...
I made her a very long time ago...
Inspired by the amazing Shannon of Aunty Cookie...
Who's fabric designs and illustrations are just "ACE"...
And the sweet little stripped Cat is called Felix...
He thinks he's the "Top Cat" around here...
and has a air of "grandness" and "distinction" about him...
And is quite happy with begin the only one of his kind
living at River Cottage...
Till next post...
Please stay safe!!!
Hug someone you love...
and keep up the Granny Goodness..
Edit:
Entries are now closed...
Thank you all for your kind words and lovely thoughts...
I will post details very soon...
And this pattern will be available in my etsy shop...

Oh, this is lovely. If not a cushion, I can make this as a spread for my children. they love to play the game as much as I used to. Sadly, I just don't get time now a days. I don't know if I am eligible for the draw as I am not a resident of Australia, but after seeing the cushion, I had to tell you that I liked it a lot,

Hi Michele , love your design for a "naughts and crosses " cushion .
It's very clever and I think my boys would love a cushion or two in this design . Well done, glad you're feeling better

That looks fun to make!
I like it! Of course, I'm very fond of black and white...I think making a throw out of this square would be adorable too!
I think this is lovely. You are one clever lady.
I would definitely say 'noughts and crosses'! love the cushion, love black and white. Please enter me in the draw I would love to win the pattern! Thank you.
love, love, love your new design Michelle :)
we call it Noughts and Crosses in our home, but I do love the term tic tac toe I always think it sounds more fun :)
I would love to make one of these for each of my two boys!

Noughs and Crosses! Brings back childhood memories of a boredom moment which enabled us to find quirky ideas of where to play. On a steamed up kitchen window in the middle of winter, on the patio using wet foot prints on a summer afternoon.
This is such a happy pillow! Would be great as a throw too. Its just happily brilliant!
Simple and effective, I love it. Definitely noughts and crosses for me.

I love it! I would make a little blanket for my kids we love to play tic tac toe and checkers together. Even though my 3 year old just pretends the pieces are cars...
W>e used to call that game OXO, the same name as a - in those days - popular hot bouillondrink.
I liked to play it at school when I was bored ( and i often was ;) )
i love it!to me -it's tic tac toe...but noughts and crosses is a great name too :)
I love the cushion but I am not very fond of the game. I used to play it when I was a kid but that's a long time ago ;-)
Loving that cushion!
love the cushion and the game~ my four year old son also loves to play tic-tac-toe. this would be perfect. i love the black and white, too! beautiful work, michelle! :)
What a super idea to make cushion like the game. Perhaps you can make the next one so that you can play oxo on the cushion. I think my grandmother would love that.
With her 88 years she still always the card games we play. Or she makes sure that she wins (she keeps the scores) ;-).
Oh, I think this pillow looks as fun to make as it is to play it! I remember playing tic-tac-toe with my brother and sisters many times, when we were kids! So, please do count me in for this giveaway! Thanks! ~tina
Great cushion ~ it would look good in lots of different colour combinations too. I call the game naughts and crosses and used to love playing it :O)
I like all your designs, congratulations
Marta
It is so wonderful to finally see what the black and white sneak peek was: a totally amazing cushion! I love it. It is a modern version of granny goodness. In Holland we have that game also...but it is called 'butter, cheese and eggs' (please don't ask me why...cause I haven't got a clue!)
I will defenitely hug someone I love....tomorrow I'm flying to Holland to hug my Granny. So thankful to still have her around, she's turning 91 one this wednesday. Enjoy your week, good luck on pattern writing, please include me in the draw.

I just love that cushion, and I call them noughts and crosses!
I looked at a crochet pattern a while back to make the crochet board game!!
The cushion sure beats the board game though!!

Kate :)
I love the cushion!
As children we played noughts and crosses all the time - then I played it with my children
I loved playing that game when I was little! We called it X-ie Osies, I'm not sure if that's how it's spelt I've never had to write it down before!!! :) That's how it sounds anyway!!
Brilliant cushion!

In Holland we call it Butter Cheese and Eggs, I've no idea why - just looked on wikipedia and it doesn't say anything about the origins of the game or its name!
Lovely cushion, think it's something my son would actually like!
I love the cushion!! We played that a lot during church (my father is a minister) when we should have been listening!! I love your blog and would love to try the pattern!
How adorable! We play tic tac toe whenever we have to wait! My boys like to play in restaurants...I'm not picky! Thanks!
love the cushion and love your blog! it's got to be noughts and crosses for me. :)
Lovely cushion - always have love tic, tac, toe.
Lol, I love the cat, he looks hilarious in his pose. =)
First time commenting here. I came across your site couple of days ago and my mom loves your Daisy Cushion. She wants me to make one for her so badly that she keeps reminding me about it. So,let's see how I will do that. I love this Tic-Tac-Toe thing looks so elegant.
Lovely, lovely giveaway! My daughter and I enjoy playing tic, tac, toe. She is only six but learned a couple of years ago and since wants to beat me as often as possible :)
Thank you very much for the chance to participate and your generosity.
Have a lovely weekend and warm greetings from Mexico~
