Chevroning along

It's all about Chevrons
here at River Cottage...

Now I have always thought of myself as a very fast crocheter...
But alas I have nothing on my Mum...
She might only know how to do two stitches but they sure work well for her...

While I have been plodding away at my chevron
my Mum has just finished this amazing blanket...
and already starting another...

I have put this beautiful granny chevron into my shop
At a fantastic price...

Which of course will also make someone out there really happy too...
as they will grab an absolute bargain...

Do you love Chevrons as much as we do?

If it's not really your thing...
what is your favorite...
I would love to know...

what gorgeous blankets! i do love chevrons, too, and have made a couple of zigzag blankets in the past year. right now though, it's all about the crochet cables for me.

You girls do chevron like no other! (and temptingly I hear those pesky ends are nothing compared to those granny square numbers)...

Oh both of your Chevron blankets are beautiful!
I haven't tried Chevron as yet, but want to make one very much....
I love it's vintage look :)

I love the colours you have both used. I love the chevron blankets and have started one myself - although it is currently hiding at the bottom of my basket!

ah I call that pattern 'ripple':
yes I've made a few:
there's something reassuringly rhythmic about making them don't you think?
now all we need is for you to share your pattern!
^_^

Love your mom's blanket and colors. What a bargain for a handmade item! Someone will be very happy and lucky to have it. Love yours too. It looks a bit bigger than your mom's. I'm sure that's why it's taking you longer. ;)

I love chevrons and ripples! No sewing together, very rhythmic...and I can hide the ends away as I go :)
