Grandma's Sweet As Pie

Grandma's Sweet As Pie...

I like pie,
I like pie a-lot.
Not just one piece,
but the whole entire lot.

Peach or Apple,
or Berry surprise.
They all taste good,
and warm me inside.

A sprinkle of sugar,
and a dollop of cream.
There a waist watchers nightmare,
or a food lovers dream.

With all that goodness,
stacked so high.
It's gone to my hips,
and traveled to my thighs.

but I do like pie
I like it a-lot
But I really should have one piece,
not the whole entire lot...

I have written out most of the pattern
for this new cushion...
I really like the simple back on it just as much
and think that it would be just as lovely to
do two backs and join them together for another pretty cushion
if the front was a bit daunting...

I have added a few pretty buttons as well
so the cushion insert can be taken out...
Something that can be very handy with children around...

This will be added to my etsy shop
very soon...
Maybe by the end of the week...
So if you really would love to try this new pattern out...
please leave a comment
and I will have a giveaway for one sweet dear...
Just tell me what sought of pie is your favorite...
That easy!!!
Mine would have to be
Rhubarb with lots of sugar...Yum...

and a big thank you to Bethel
for helping me with the name
I love it!!!

Oh Apple and Blackberry Pie! With ice cream, or cream or custard, or well...all of them!

I do love the gorgeous cushion.

Michelle, I so dearly love your designs. Peaceful and calming, that's what I think crochet is all about...except, you know, when you've had to rip out the last 3 rows to fix something that you just can't let go!

A lovely design and nice berry colours. My favourite pie would have to be blackberry and apple with thick creamy custard.

OOOh Gooseberry Pie. Love the sharpness and the way it makes you pull a funny face on the first taste. With custard for me every time!

Just love that cushion, I really like the colours you have picked. My favorite pie is lemon meringue, just love that tartness of the lemon combined with the sweet meringue. I also like Key Lime pie when I have been to florida but the ones you buy in the uk are a poor imitation. To be honest I like most pies and have the figure to prove it hehe

Lovely cushion and loved the pie poem. I would have to say I love apple pie with cream of course. Love it. But if its a crumble then I'd have to go for rhubarb - again with cream - yummo. x

Lovely cushion - as usual your work is super. Peach pie is by far my favorite but only when made with fresh peaches!!

It was fun reading your poem and looking at the pictures of the cute pie cushion. Seems like a really great project to make. Berry pie with vanilla ice cream sounds really good about now...

I love the cushion very clever. Simple yet stunning. For the pie, for me it has to be Pear Pie with Chedder Cheese Pastry!

I love the cushion - have just reacquainted myself with the granny square and how adaptable and adictive it can be.
My favorite pie of all is an old recipe from my grandmother for vinegar pie.
