Grandma Twilight Garland Tutorial

Grandma Twilight Garland...

I have used some favorites to make up this garland...
Grandma Twinkles...
and
Grandma All Round...
With just a slight variation...

I have put instructions of the colour changes needed
at the bottom of each one...
and started my pictures right to left
as when they are joined together you will start from that side...

Grandma Twilight 1...

using Grandma All Round Pattern...
Cream for first three rounds...
no need to do the scalloped edge!!!
just DC(SC) around edge...
I have mine in Blue...

Grandma Twilight 2...

using
Grandma Twinkle
in Blue...
One round extra in DC(SC)
using Cream...

Grandma Twilight 3...

Colour changing is very tricky for this and the other colour moons
But if you take your time and check back at the picture
I know you will be able to work it out...
If you want, try finishing the easy ones first and come back to these...

using Grandma All Round Pattern...
Start first round in Blue, continue
with Blue for start of next row,
join and sl st across to next space
3 ch, 2 treble(dc) in this first space.(so you only have a half)
1 ch,3 treble,1 ch,3 treble in next space.
1 ch,3 treble,1 ch,3 treble in next space.
1 ch,3 treble in next space...join Cream in next 1 ch...
3 treble...( this will be the two colours you see in the space)
continue with Cream
to end of second row, join sl st across to next space...
3 ch, 3 treble in next space, 1ch, 3 treble in next space...
change to Blue in next 1 ch...
continue around in Blue for 3 spaces...
Change to Cream for next chain, and continue around to end...
no need to do the scalloped edge!!!
just DC(SC) around edge...
I have mine in Cream...

Grandma Twilight 4...

using
Grandma Twinkle
in Cream...
One round extra in DC(SC)
using Blue...

Grandma Twilight 5...

using Grandma All Round Pattern...
You will need to look at picture very closely for the colour changes...
I haven't written the instructions for this as
I think it could sound too confusing...it's much easier to
go slowly and just make the colours half and half...

no need to do the scalloped edge!!!
just DC(SC) around edge...
I have mine in cream and blue...

Grandma Twilight 6...

using
Grandma Twinkle
in Blue...
One round extra in DC(SC)
using Cream...

3 treble...( this will be the two colours you see in the space)
continue with Blue
to end of second row, join sl st across to next space...
3 ch, 3 treble in next space, 1ch, 3 treble in next space...
change to Cream in next 1 ch...
continue around in cream for 3 spaces...
Change to Blue for next chain, and continue around to end...

I have join my garland with a row of chains...
20 Chain join with a sl st...(for loop to hang)
25 chain join first moon...
25 chain join next...extra...
at end finish by doing a 20 chain loop...
and hang your Twilight garland up for all to see...

I have uploaded these pictures to my Flickr Photo stream
for easy viewing...
and please post your lovely garlands to the Grandma Tutorial Group...

Oh boy - you have given us some more challenges! I love these in one of my most favorite color combinations - blue and white. Thanks so much for the tutorial and and I like to change colors so this is great inspiration. I could go wild too and and use lots of color.
