You can find the pattern for the slouch hat on the
Lions Brand website...EDIT:Pattern called

But it is lovely...

Hibernating in my Winter Wooliness...

Hinako shoes...
 An early birthday present...

New shoes

I love these...
They are so comfy and soft
and even better!!!
they were on sale...

***
I have been a tad obsessed with THE BLOCK...
and I adore Sophie and Dales kids room...
 I really want that wallpaper!!!

so
I decided that I could no longer
have a peaceful night sleep with the 70's fake timber laminate wall colour...

So a bit of inside make-overing...
with my trusty paint brush...

Bedroom makeover

Now that's better...

Well nearly...
I still would have loved that wallpaper..

***
I hope my hibernation doesn't last too much longer but
at least I have a few crochet granny blankets to keep me cozy
in the mean time...

To Hootie Cute...

I used a couple of free patterns of the net for these Granny cute items...

Too Hootie cute...

Hat via Tangled Happy...

and Cardigan via Ravelry...

I used a 5.5mm hook and a yarn called Sooky by Bella Baby ,
available at Spotlight...
as I wanted it to be a slightly larger size than what the pattern was...

It is sooooo soft....

I love the hat pattern the most...
I will be making more for all of the little sweeties
that I know...

Grandpa Beanie Free Pattern

Yes...

More free patterns for you to print out
and make...
This one is a favorite of mine
for winter...

I use up all of my scrap wool
and make lots of stripes

just what Grandpa's likes

Warm and woolly with lots of colour...
Grandpa Beanie

***Just click on the pattern above....Go straight to Flickr...
Click Actions, then view all sizes...and download and save the file...***

I use a "Crab" stitch around the border...

If you find this stitch makes the border a tad loose.
Try missing a stitch every 5 or 10 trebles and that way it makes it a bit tighter...

If you are unsure about this stitch do a row of Double Crochet instead...

This pattern is in English crochet terms...

To all of my Crochet class ladies who are "spying" this pattern...

We will do this pattern very soon...

This pattern is also good for "Grandma's"
just change the colour
and make it all pretty...
