Grandma Trees

Grandma Trees...

My Grandma's legs
are large and wide,
People say they are trunks in disguise.
If this is the case,
then I'm relieved to say.
Her arms must be branches
that can hold me all day.

I will be making a tutorial on these very soon...
Deciding which one I like the most...
So maybe you can help...

The cream one is a very straight forward triangle...

The wheat has groups of 3 trebles and 1 last row of 4 trebles
with the added bend in the tree shape...

The rust one has all rows with groups of 4 trebles
and the bend in the tree shape...

Love all your feed back...
and amazed at all the wonderful comments I have
received from all the lovely friends
coming to visit me from
ATTIC24...

Apart from almost fainting
with the heat (40 + degrees) 104 +
my head was in a spin from seeing my now
"gleeful" amount of followers...

To get some more "glee"
pop over to Dottiangel or spend some time
spreading your own
crafty "glee"...
It is sure to put you in great spirits for Christmas...

All three trees are great. However, when it comes down to it and upon closer scrutiny the rust definitely has more personality.
And if we're going to take time to make 'em the more the personality the better.
Am looking forward to hooking up a few of these lovelies

The trees are just too cute! After finding you via Attic 24 last night I made 2 of the stars from some funky sock yarn and they are adorable. I'm gonna string them up and use them for garland-now I think I'll alternate them with these adorable trees.

Of course you would have more followers, your work is just gorgeous. I am only new to learning how to crochet but I do love the rust tree best!

WooHoo, I like the trees, it will be fun to put trees and stars together. I like the rust one best. The shape seems more whimsical and the curves work best.

Oh Michelle, these trees are absolutely gorgeous!!! I love the cream one the best, but they all are beautiful...
Hope you're hanging in there with the heat wave... We're having a scorching 45'C at the moment and I'm sure I'm melting from the inside out...

I too have popped over from Attic24 - what great things you're making. I'm heading to the beach tomorrow so I've got my hooks and yarn in the car and will hopefully come back with a (or some) garlands! The rust tree is my favourite too. Will definitely be popping back to see the tutorial on this too! Thanks so much for sharing your lovely work! x

silly me, when you asked over on flickr which i may like best, i was thinking you were talking color, no idea we were looking at trebles and doubles and all that other stuff. so now i've taken a closer look, i do like the ones on the right with the pointy tops...

i have 6 doily cicles done now, you would be so proud... just like i am of you, what a great write up Attic24 gave you, and well deserved my dear :)

I instantly liked the rust, but I am being drawn back to the wheat one every time I look at them so, wheat is my minds eye/subconcious choice!
They are all beautiful though.

After perusing your Grandma Trees, over and again, I must say I am drawn to the rust.
And thanks you ever so much for posting the Grandma Stars tutorial, tho I had to take mine apart multiple times. No! It was not any fault of yours! The tutorial is most excellent! It is me....I am "hook challenged" and must try a new project over and over and over....before I finally get it right! But, by jove, I think I got it!
