I have managed to finish two
"Grandma Love" cushions
for myself...
and I love these colours...
I think when I find things in these colours I go all weak and just
have to have it...
I try really hard not to look on etsy by colours as a result...
My bank balance would surly be in a dismal state if I did...
Lately I have been trying to make these cushions in other colours as
I am sure not everyone is so totally
obsessed with Burgundy and Blue...
So here is a question...
What's your favorite colour...
What colour combo's make you go all weak at the knees?
And on the home front
I do hope the August winds that are in full force here
are not sending you flying...
But instead at least getting the clothes dry...
Hi Michele...so many colours are a joy to have in my life, but the combination that I keep coming back to is; the murky vintage type colours of soft green and soft pink. I am always drawn to them; so have concluded that they are my home making "soul" colors. Funny thing is; I never wear these colours. I am mainly draw to medium rustic colours like; tan, khaki, sage green, rust, black etc.
ReplyDeleteColours in our life and how they affect us is very interesting and; I agree that when making things for sale its important to consider other combinations than the one you personally love.
Kind Regards
Judith

Your colour combination looks very fetching! For me, it's navy and black - I just love them together. I'm also becoming quite partial to a rich Kelly Green with black and white... bit of a bold colour girl, as you can see ;) I'm still waiting for the Westerlies to start here in Brisbane (if only so they'll be over again!)... this feeling of impending wind is doing my head in :) K
ReplyDeleteI can't resist pink orange and red together (of course), but when it comes to things like cushions etc, I'm very partial to chocolate brown and light blue. I find them soothing and relaxing.
ReplyDeleteso many colours I love together I adore aqua and red, red and pink and lime and purple just to name a few!!!
ReplyDeleteI love your cushions. How about a fresh green and white combo?
ReplyDeleteI love playing around with colours and trying new colour combinations. I do love turquoise and chocolate brown together. I just discovered that white and chocolate looks awesome too. Love the happy partnership of pinks and greens too - very fresh spring.
ReplyDeleteIt's great to see you making something for yourself Michelle. Blue and burgundy are beautiful together. Black and burgundy are my favourites.
ReplyDeleteI laughed at your positive spin on this wind. Yes my clothes are dry but I am hesitant to go to the park for few of one or two 1-year-olds blowing away!
They look beautiful. There are so many colors to choose from - some of my faves are pink and orange, mint and chocolate, orange and gray, red and white!
ReplyDeleteAh, colour combos. One of my favourite topics. I too get fixated with particular colour schemes. Some schemes I feel, I've worn out completely, but I just love them so. I love red with the palest aqua. I love red with pink and orange. I love grey, orange and pale blue. I love biege and red. Let's say I could go on and on. Love the pic setup, so country style.
